Crosslake and Cross Lake

What's the difference you ask? Crosslake, all one word, refers to the town and Cross Lake, two words, refers to the lake itself. Pretty confusing, but if you spend much time in the Crosslake area you will get the hang of it. Cross Lake is one of the larger lakes in the Whitefish Chain of lakes and is located toward the eastern side of the chain. Not only can you park your boat and access the shops and restaurants of Crosslake, some of the best fishing and boating is available on Cross Lake. At the southern end of the lake is the dam that over 100 years ago helped to create the Whitefish Chain. And at the north end of Cross Lake is Moonlight Bay. In between is Crosslake, the town, where all things are possible. Looking for lake property in Crosslake or on Cross Lake you need a realtor, (hint contact Doug), that knows the area and one that can help you zero in on lake property that meets your criteria.
