Seasonal Cabins

Cabins are what most Minnesotans call anything "Up North"on a lake. It sometimes amazes me today what people will often refer to as a cabin. But as Minnesotans we all know what "going to the cabin" really means. Be that as it may, a seasonal lake cabin is useable only part of the year because it does not have the required construction elements for cold weather use. Many people still want something seasonal because the do not intend to use it during the winter and they are usually less costly to purchase than a year round home. However, you should know that it may not be possible to get a mortgage on a seasonal cabin. Banks will typically only finance year round homes.

There can be something magical about a "cabin". Just make sure that is what you are really looking for when you start your search and that you know how you will finance it.
